How do I get to Fishers Island?
Virtually all commercial and passenger traffic uses the Fishers Island Ferry, which leaves from New London, Connecticut.

From New York via I-95 North: Interstate 95 to exit 83. At bottom of exit ramp, proceed straight through intersection (traffic light) to 2nd traffic light (3rd light after leaving I-95). Turn left onto Governor Winthrop Boulevard (four lane divided road) and proceed to second traffic light. Turn right onto Eugene O'Neill Drive and proceed to next light. Turn left onto State Street. You will see the railroad station ahead of you. Proceed toward the station and cross the railroad tracks to the right of the station. Once you have crossed the tracks, turn right and you will be at the Fishers Island Ferry landing.

From Boston via I-95 South: Interstate 95 to exit 84S (exit 84 is the first exit after crossing the Groton-New London Bridge). The exit ramp curves around to the left and will feed you onto a one-way road about 4 lanes wide, which will narrow to three lanes and then to two lanes. Proceed to the third traffic signal and turn left. You will have turned off Eugene O'Neill Drive onto State Street. You will see the railroad station ahead of you.
