A nice bit of marketing automation from Wufoo
Automating the rote tasks of your online marketing allows you to spend more time on more important stuff: talking with your customers, creating engaging content, and measuring what works best.
So today we look at one small improvement in that direction.
Goofily-named Wufoo is a web service that builds web forms, used by you for lead capture, registration, surveys and so on. These forms are easily embedded in your website, and the service has good integration with other web apps for email, CRM, content management and so on. Data can flow from the form into your CRM, or onto your email list.
A few days ago Wufoo added a nice little feature: the ability to add a file attachment to the confirmation email that someone receives after filling out a form.
Here's an example. Enter your email address and you'll immediately get a one-page PDF in your inbox.
This does not qualify as an innovative feature. Powerful CRMs like Salesforce have been doing this for a while.
It's notable because it's quick to set up, Wufoo is cheap ($15/month), and it strengthens the rationale for using a suite of these integrated web apps for your marketing programs.
