Mystery Band NYC 1973

Not long ago I digitized some Super8 footage from the family archives, and found this 1973 bit taken in the Central Park bandshell.

That's all there is, which kills me.

I want to know, who's the band? The New York Dolls, I first thought. (But who is the lefthander?)

If I don't get an answer by 2010 I'm asking Robert Christgau, who probably was there.

Lou Rawls is definitely the guy dancing up front.
